The official page of 20th Century Studios India took to Instagram on Monday to share the new trailer and wrote, “Watch the new trailer for #TheFirstOmen. Experience the most terrifying movie of the year, only in cinemas April 5.”

The trailer shows more unseen footage from the psychological horror film and teases what is promised to be a terrifying movie.

The story revolves around a young American lady who is brought to Rome to begin a life of devotion to the church. She discovers a darkness that forces her to doubt her faith and uncovers a horrifying plot that seeks to bring an evil incarnate into the world.

The star cast includes Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson and Bill Nighy.

The film is directed by Arkasha Stevenson and based on characters created by David Seltzer, with a story by Ben Jacoby and a screenplay by Tim Smith, Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas.

The producers are David S. Goyer and Keith Levine, and the executive producers are Tim Smith, Whitney Brown, and Gracie Wheelan.

The three-day-long pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant concluded on March 3.

Kher took to his Instagram and dropped a heartwarming video with Satish Kaushik’s daughter Vanshika, and wife Shashi.

In the video, he asked Vanshika if she enjoyed the movie and what aspects she liked besides her father’s role.

Talking to ANI, The Kashmir Files actor said, “It was his (Satish Kaushik) passion project. He was working for 2 years on this project. This is based on true incidents. He was so passionate about the subject. He met many people, the protests taken out by political parties and other organisations, however genuine the cause is for their coming on the streets but a section of people get affected by it. In this movie, the daughter of Satish Kaushik’s character could become an IAS officer but she meets with an accident and there is a political rally going on and her ambulance gets stuck in it and she dies. I play the role of the lawyer who defends the daughter of Satish Jee in the movie.”

Recently, the makers of ‘Kaagaz 2’ unveiled the film’s official trailer, which received positive responses from the fans.

The trailer showcases Satish’s character seeking justice for his dead daughter and fighting a case for the ban on political rallies.

In the movie, Anant Desai can be seen playing a powerful politician whose political rally caused the death of Satish’s daughter. Anupam Kher, portraying the advocate role in the film, fights Satish’s case, and he faces life-threatening obstacles during the legal fight.

The film highlights the hardships of an ordinary individual, whose right to live is violated by protests and rallies.

The film is produced by Shashi Satish Kaushik, Ratan Jain, and Ganesh Jain through Satish Kaushik Entertainment LLP and Venus Worldwide Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

His mortal remains were wrapped in tricolour at his residence, 6A, Hill Side in Mumbai. The visuals show the band and troops giving a farewell to the ghazal legend.

His mortal remains were brought to his residence by an ambulance from the Breach Candy hospital. The videos showed a portrait of Pankaj Udhas kept in the garden area of his house. His family members, close ones paid their last respect to the Padma Shri awardee.

Ahead of the funeral, his colleagues from the industry including, Zakir Hussain and Shankar Mahadevan, visited his residence to pay their last respects.

The funeral is set to take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hindu crematorium in the Worli area of Mumbai.

Earlier, his daughter Nayaab Udhas shared the details of his funeral.

The note, shared on social media, reads, “With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of his demise on February 26, 2024 due to a prolonged illness. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. Venue: Hindu crematorium, Worli (Mumbai) Landmark: Opp. Four Seasons Dr E Moses Rd. Worli…The Udhas Family.”

Former Miss World and actor Manushi Chhillar is ecstatic about it and said that it is a great opportunity for the world to know India and its hospitality.

“I’m simply excited, and it’s wonderful that so many girls will come to India and talk about it and experience our hospitality, just as India will also get to experience what I did six years ago when I attended a competition like this. They will be posting about their experiences on their social media handles. They have a great fan following so those people will also come to know about it. Their families and team will also be coming. So, there will be exposure at the same time for many countries,” Manushi told ANI.

She was present at the pre-launch event in the capital along with Miss World Karolina Bielawska, Former Miss Worlds including, Toni Ann Singh, Vanessa Ponce De Leon, and Stephanie Del Valle.

After winning the Miss World 2017 pageant, Manushi also forayed into acting and worked in movies such as ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ opposite Akshay Kumar. It was a great start for her and later she was seen in ‘The Great Indian Family’.

Even though she is getting good projects, it was not so easy for her to get into the world of acting. Reflecting on her experience, she acknowledged a shift from feeling like an outsider in the profession to feeling at home and more familiar with her skills as an actor.

She shared, “Of course, I didn’t know anything about it, so I had to start from the basics, I had to understand the industry, I had to understand my job as an actor, I had to work on my craft, which I still continue to, and you grow with every movie you do, so it’s been a journey, it’s only the third film coming on March 1. So with ‘Operation Valentine’ or in fact, every film I had worked there was something to learn. Today I feel a little more like I belong to this industry, before (that) I felt like I was an outsider, but now I am becoming part of it gradually.”

The actor is looking forward to her next ‘Operation Valentine’ also starring Varun Tej. It has been shot in two languages, Hindi and Telugu.

Manushi talked about the difficulties of delivering the dialogues in a language she did not know, drawing on her experience filming a bilingual film. Despite the initial challenges, she learned it quickly.

“It was great working on the film. I had a lot of fun although I had to say dialogues in a language I didn’t know as the film was shot in two languages. I enjoyed working with my co-stars. Varun is one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with, and of course, I love the South food and their hospitality.”

Talking about her future projects and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, she said, “There are many projects lined up, however, still waiting for the official announcement. I don’t know if I am in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ or not I just hope I am, that is all I can say.”

The 71st Miss World will take place between February 18 and March 9 unfolding across various venues, including the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The tabla player and music composer picked up the coveted award in ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category for ‘Pashto’.

Hussain, is also part of the Jazz group ‘Shakti’, won ‘The best Global Music album award for its latest album ‘This Moment’.

The album ‘This Moment’ features eight songs created by John McLaughlin (guitar synth), Zakir Hussain (tabla), Shankar Mahadevan (vocalist), V Selvaganesh (percussionist), and Ganesh Rajagopalan (violinist). They were nominated for the Grammys with other artists like Susana Baca, Bokante, Burna Boy, and Davido.

In a post on X, music composer, Ricky Kej, who attended the ceremony, hailed Zakir Hussain and other artistes. “Ustad Zakhir Hussain, the living legend creates history by winning 3 Grammys in one night!!! Rakesh Chaurasia wins 2!! .. and I am blessed to witness it,” he wrote.

Hussain and his collaborators, however, lost out in the ‘Best Instrumental Composition’ for which John Williams – Helena’s Theme picked up the Grammy. He along with Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer and Rakesh Chaurasia were nominated in this category for their ‘Motion’.
